Requirements:

  • A camera with manual exposure controls (digital or film)

  • Notebook and pen for notes ( optional)

  • A willingness to learn and get hands-on

What to Expect:
In this beginner-friendly workshop, we'll teach you the fundamentals of ISO, aperture, and shutter speed and how these three settings work together to create well-exposed, one-of-a-kind images. Through hands-on demonstrations and guided practice, you'll gain the confidence to take your camera off Auto mode and start shooting manually.

Our instructor is an experienced photographer who previously served as a teaching assistant at East Los Angeles College, one of Los Angeles' most respected film photography programs. Throughout the class, you'll receive personalized guidance, have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and connect with fellow photographers in a supportive learning environment.

Whether you shoot film or digital, you'll leave with a stronger understanding of your camera and the skills needed to continue improving your photography.
